STEP ONE | KANGAROO BODY
begin by creating a leaf-like shape, as seen in the picture, using a chisel brush and yellow paint, keeping strokes downward and to a slight point.
STEP TWO | TAIL AND FOOT
Paint a horizontal line from the bottom point to make the kangaroo foot, and then use one long stroke towards the ear from the body to form the tail.
STEP THREE | HEAD AND EARS
Using this same chisel brush and yellow paint, create a smaller leg and foot at the same height as the tail, but on the other side of the body. Then, create a small head using two small ovals, one slightly smaller than the other, and create ears using two short strokes outwards from the slightly larger oval. Add a small line from the body to give your kangaroo an arm.
STEP FOUR | OUTLINE AND DETAIL
Using black paint and a round brush, outline the lower body of the kangaroo, including the legs, tail, back and stomach up to the underside of the arm. Create a small spot on the end of the nose and face to give your kangaroo some features, and for a little extra detail you can add a small outline to the top of the kangaroos head, from the end of the nose to the ear.
STEP FIVE | GLOVES
Using the round brush and red paint, add two small red dots to the design, with one at the end of the kangaroos arm, and one between the nose and the arm. This positioning adds depth and detail to the design to achieve the perfect kangaroo!
